The new season starts on September 9th 2008 earlier than usual at 7.00 pm with refreshments and welcome. Singing rehearsal  will be 8.00 - 9.30 pm. Do come along.

If you would like to join us please contact the chairman or just come along on a Tuesday evening at 7.30 pm. to Upperton United Reformed Church Hall in Watts Lane.

You are welcome to "try us out " for two weeks before deciding whether to commit to the choir and pay the subscription. For 2008/2009 it will be £65 for the Autumn and Spring Terms (or £35 per term).  Arrangements for a possible short Summer Term are under consideration.

There is a brief simple audition (where possible in groups of 3) to join the choir. This is just to assess tuning and voice range.

Our choir dress for concerts is -

Ladies -Full length black skirt or smart black trousers, long/three-quarter length sleeved v neck black top, red scarf (winter), blue scarf (summer), black tights, black shoes.

Gentlemen - DJs, black trousers, white shirt, red bowtie (winter), blue bowtie (summer), black shoes.

Please note that our insurance policy does not cover members who are over seventy-five years of age for personal accident while at rehearsal or at a concert. Everyone is covered however, for third party liability – there is no age limit on that as long as the committee are not proven to have been negligent.

We also welcome "friends" who may be able to support us in other ways e.g. selling programmes or pouring wine at concerts.
