The Eastbourne Choral Society was founded in 1994 by Elizabeth Muir- Lewis. She conducted the choir for ten years before handing over the baton to its present Musical Director, John Hancorn.
The choir is committed to bringing a high standard of music to the people of Eastbourne and its surrounding areas. To this end our rehearsals are both enjoyable and productive. We sing a wide variety of Choral music both secular and sacred.
We are a friendly Society and like to hold social events. During the past year members have organised coffee mornings, a Christmas dinner, meals at an Italian restaurant and a group outings to a local concerts. We hope to build on our social activities, ideas are always welcome.
The Society is very fortunate to have some very loyal Patrons and Friends. We very much appreciate their support. If you would like to become a Patron or Friend please let us know. The help needed is often of a practical nature such as giving out programmes at concerts.
